What is PetroCoin® ?
PetroCoin® is an Ethereum-based security token issued by PetroCoin Limited Liability Company. The company describes its investment strategy as building a diversified portfolio of energy, metals, and mineral assets, including oil and gas reserves, production interests, and related revenues.
What does “RWA” mean ?
RWA stands for “real-world asset.” RWA tokenization connects a blockchain token to assets or contractual rights that exist outside the blockchain. For PetroCoin®, the stated focus is energy and metals assets. The token’s specific legal and economic rights must be established by its governing documents—not simply by the RWA label.
Which blockchain does PetroCoin® use ?
PetroCoin® describes its token as an ERC-20 security token on the Ethereum blockchain.
What assets back PetroCoin® ?
PetroCoin® identifies proven oil and gas reserves, production and service revenues, conductive and rare earth metals, and precious metals as components of its asset-backed strategy.
Does owning PetroCoin® mean I directly own oil, gas, or metals ?
No, holding a token does not give you direct title to physical commodities, mineral rights, or a share of the issuing company. An RWA token can represent different types of contractual or economic rights depending on its legal structure. PetroCoin’s token holders own a fractional ownership of the overall value of the assets held.
How is PetroCoin’s token price determined ?
PetroCoin® treasury issuance price is tied to its asset base and pricing mechanism intended to increase that price as assets are added to its baskets. With that being said, the company cannot guarantee future performance or returns.
What makes PetroCoin® different from other cryptocurrencies ?
PetroCoin® offers a unique combination of tangible real-world value and innovative blockchain technology, aiming to provide a growth-focused, yet resilient investment token.
It presents a unique value proposition built on the following key components:
• Gas-In-Place reserves and production, Oil-In-Place reserves and production, service revenues and infrastructure, conductive and rare earth metals, precious metals and other fixed assets which are designed to provide a very robust line of defense against potential falling token prices and, through the continual reinvestment strategies continually increasing base value line.
What are the advantages of PetroCoin® as a token compared to traditional financial products ?
- Blockchain Transparency & Efficiency – All transactions are recorded on a secure, immutable ledger, reducing fraud risk and enhancing trust.
- Fractional Investment Access – Tokens allow investors to participate with smaller amounts, improving accessibility and liquidity.
- 24/7 Global Trading – Unlike traditional securities, tokens can be traded anytime on global digital exchanges.
- Enhanced Liquidity – Tokenization makes typically illiquid assets, such as oil & gas projects, more tradable.
- Direct Investor Access – Fewer intermediaries mean lower costs and greater efficiency.
What are the advantages of PetroCoin® as a security token compared to non-security crypto tokens ?
- Regulatory Compliance – PetroCoin® is operating on the Securities and Exchange Regulation D Exemptions and all minted tokens will carry a 12-month built in hold period.
- Real World Asset Stability – Unlike many non-security tokens that derive value from speculation, PetroCoin® is grounded in tangible real-world assets.
- Lower Volatility – The token’s value is not tied to oil and gas reserves which makes it less susceptible to extreme price fluctuations often found in the broader crypto market.
- Institutional Appeal – Security tokens like PetroCoin® can attract institutional investors who require regulatory compliance, transparency, and asset-backed investments.
- Compliance through the use of Smart Contracts – PetroCoin® incorporates security into its token through the use of ERC-20 Ethereum security protocols to help ensure compliance with legal requirements.
How can asset owners participate in PetroCoin® ?
PetroCoin® describes an asset-acquisition model in which an owner contributes a minority interest—typically around 10%—40% in a qualifying energy or mining asset in exchange for PetroCoin® tokens. Contributions may involve equity, reserves, production streams, or inventory, subject to an agreed valuation and transaction terms. The stated objective is to let participating owners retain majority ownership and operating control while gaining exposure to a broader portfolio.
Can the PetroCoin® assets owned decrease in value ?
As part of PetroCoin’s re-investment strategy it is the intention to continually increase the asset base of the token by continued acquisition and management hard assets. There is no guarantee of a continual increase of the asset backing or that assets will hold their existing values.
How does PetroCoin® impact the conventional oil and gas investment model ?
PetroCoin® transforms the traditional oil and gas investment model through a security token supported by real production and their development. While investors do not acquire direct ownership of the production, they gain access to an investment vehicle designed to provide structural resilience and diversification through a reinvestment model.
What is the reinvestment strategy of PetroCoin® ?
Funds are generated through multiple independent yet funding streams, such as sales generated in the oil and gas production. While approximately 20% – 30% of these funds will remain as profit the majority of these funds are reinvested to increase the token’s tangible asset base.
Can I redeem tokens for cash, oil, gas, or metals ?
No redemption is available.
How can investors verify the assets and their valuation ?
The supporting evidence provided by third party accounting firms matters as much as the blockchain record. RWA due diligence can include reviewing ownership and custody arrangements, asset valuations, independent attestations, financial reporting, and the issuer’s legal structure.
Is PetroCoin® immune to rollover risk ?
PetroCoin® is designed to avoid the typical rollover risks associated with traditional debt or financial products. The blockchain-based nature of PetroCoin® allows for easy trading, reducing the need for rollover refinancing, while the underlying tangible asset base, diversification of funding streams and reinvestment strategy provide some security and value stability.
Is there a maximum supply of PetroCoin® tokens ?
Yes, the maximum total supply of PetroCoin® tokens is fixed at 100 million.

Below is a broader explanation of the types of wallets:
Externally Owned Account (EOA) wallets are standard blockchain wallets controlled by a private key/seed phrase, enabling direct control over funds. Popular EOA wallets include MetaMask, Rabby, Rainbow, Phantom, Trust Wallet, and hardware devices like Ledger and Trezor. These wallets are used to interact with most blockchain mainnets like Ethereum and Solana.
Popular EOA Wallet List
- MetaMask: Browser extension and mobile app, most common Ethereum wallet.
- Rabby Wallet: Popular for multi-chain browser support.
- Rainbow: Mobile-first, user-friendly wallet.
- Phantom: Leading wallet for Solana, now multi-chain.
- Trust Wallet: Popular, versatile mobile wallet.
- Ledger: Hardware (cold) wallet for high security.
- Trezor Suite: Hardware (cold) wallet.
- Coinbase Wallet: Self-custody wallet, independent of the exchange.
- OKX Wallet: Multi-chain wallet.
- TokenPocket & Coin98: Common, multi-chain mobile options.
Key Characteristics of EOA Wallets
- Key Management: User holds the private key/seed phrase (non-custodial).
- Transaction Signing: The user signs every transaction, paying gas directly.
- Capabilities: Used for simple transfers and dApp interactions.
- Limitations: No advanced recovery or batching functionality (unlike Smart Contract Wallets).
What do I need to know about the storage of my PetroCoin® ?

Vesting periods are designed to align long-term incentives, promote commitment, and protect the integrity of PetroCoin®. They serve several key purposes:

- Promote Long-Term Engagement: For team members, advisors, or strategic investors, vesting ensures continued involvement and alignment with the project’s success over time, rather than short-term speculation.
- Enhance Trust and Credibility: Vesting schedules signal to the market that the project is serious about sustainable growth and is not structured to reward insiders unfairly or encourage exit-driven behavior.

Bitcoin has no underlying value; it’s a currency. Do you see PetroCoin® as a currency ?
No, it is not a currency but a financial vehicle that carries a determination of total value of assets owned.
Bitcoin is an independent protocol. Petrocoin® is owed by a company, which can change rules, investments, lose money, how is it valued if not tied to price of gold, or price of oil ?
Like any other equity. Proper management is certainly a consideration. Proceeds from investments will be treated similar to a private investment vehicle with a portion of revenues used for overhead, a portion for reinvestment and a portion for distribution. But, unlike an equity investment fund, we are investing directly into what is considered hard assets. Oil, gas, conductive metals, precious metals and rare earth metals are combined with strategic investments to maintain diversified price integrity. While a falling token price might correlate to broader market downturns, our focus to onboard productive, hard assets aims to bolster positive valuations. If the token loses price value that would suggest the entire marketplace is in decline. Maintaining this agenda should keep the value positive and moving in the right direction, up.
Bitcoin is removed from exposure to other currency debt failures and or company failures. RWA are not removed from failure but much more resilient to it.
Bitcoin is be heavily manipulated right now. Failure of hard assets will only occur when the entire asset base is affected. Gold or silver may go down in value, oil and gas prices may increase or recede in value, other metal prices may be affected by demand but none will ever go to zero.
The valuation of the assets will be a huge part of the value. How are they benchmarked ? On what basis ?
Asset valuation will be obtained through third parties. Mineral rights and ownership will be evaluated and confirmed, metal values will be established by global markets and so forth.

What is “fractional ownership” and “intrinsic value” ?
“Fractional ownership” is an arrangement where multiple unrelated parties share ownership of a property, splitting the purchase cost proportional to their share while “intrinsic value” is the perceived true or real worth of an asset, independent of its fluctuating market price while.
Valuation peg mechanics are not hard-coded or independently evidenced. The website states pricing is “pegged” to the broader energy, mineral and metals basket and talks about future controls/algorithms.
PetroCoin® does not use pegged mechanisms or external dependencies or (oracles) because many peg mechanisms rely on external price feeds to determine when to trigger actions. If an oracle is manipulated, the “hard-coded” logic acts on false information, causing unintended consequences, such as forced liquidations.
Protocols like “modern DeFi protocols” or “automatic market makers” driving defi use “virtual prices” that adjust based on market activity rather than sticking to a fixed like 1:1 formula illustrates a fluid non-static mechanism.
While the contract code itself might be immutable, the parameters it acts on such as asset values, asset levels, interest rates or collateral ratios are frequently adjusted by human governance, meaning the mechanism changes.
In summary, peg mechanics can still be manipulated and are still subject to human error so reliance on third party validators is essential to hard coded values the smart contract uses.
Are returns or price increases guaranteed ?
No. PetroCoin’s makes no guarantees about future performance or returns and that investors could lose their entire investment. Statements about portfolio growth or potential appreciation should not be interpreted as guaranteed outcomes.
Can PetroCoin® tokens be used as collateral ?
